President Ed Hill "State of the Union"

Thursday, March 27, 2008 a “Utility State of the Union” presentation will be broadcast live nationwide by International President Edwin D. Hill over the internet.  In conjunction with this presentation there will be events held at various locations throughout the Tenth District.  International Representatives as well as I will be participating at these “live events” along with local union officers, stewards and rank and file members. The telecast will begin at 8:00 p.m. EDT [7:00 p.m. CDT] at the predetermined locations. 

As of now we are planning events in Charlotte, NC, Knoxville, Chattanooga, Nashville and Memphis, TN and Little Rock, AR.

 

Jon Walter Announces Retirement

Jon Walters has announced his retirement today effective March 1, 2008.  11^th District International Vice President Lindell Lee has been appointed to replace Jon effective the same date. Curt Henke has been appointed to replace Lindell as 11^th District International Vice President.

 

Tenth District Membership Development Conference

Kindly be advised the 2008 Tenth District Membership Development Conference has been scheduled for Tuesday, February 26^th at the DoubleTree Hotel, 1850 Old Fort Parkway, Murfreesboro, Tennessee 37129.  Registration will be from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. CST with a continental breakfast being provided.  The conference will convene at 9:00 a.m. CST and adjourn at 4:30 p.m. CST.

We have secured a block of rooms at the hotel at a rate of $94.00 per night. You will need to call the hotel direct at 615/895-5555 to make your reservations and will need to identify yourself with the IBEW. In order to receive the above rate you must make the reservations before Friday, January 25, 2008.  

There will be a $50.00 registration fee per delegate for the conference.

 

Bobby Klein elected for second term as 10th District International Vice President.

The 10th District Convention delegates at the 37th International Convention held in Cleveland Ohio.
